Food, Food, Food :)

So of late I’ve been eating really clean, trying to stay healthy can be a challenge sometimes.
It’s hard especially because Fast food has become acceptable. But It’s unhealthy and damaging to your health. Not many of us realize that.

Kauai is AMAZING, the smoothie’s are crazy nice. They’re are like heaven.

My favorite has to be the ‘Coco Mango
It has Mango, pineapple, honey, low gi frozen yogurt, coconut water, coconut milk & mint. – Its the best. I fall in love every single time I order one.

IMG_6619I also had the Citrus Sriracha Salad. Tasty and yummy!
It’s got house greens, free range roast chicken , cucumber, mint, carrots, spring onion, lentils, rosa tomatoes and dressed with a cucumber & mint dressing!

#OOTD : Sept 11th :)

I like to get alittle hippy now and then and get on some ‘coachella’ vibes, but unfortunately I’m from South Africa – and the closest to that is OppiKoppi – And I’ve never been. Not even once.

  • The Rose and sand colour bomber I got years ago. I’ve had it for ages. It’s not a heavy bomber, actually saved me from getting an unwanted tan.
  • The Tassle Tanks are available at most clothing outlets, these are cool for the summer. They’ve become somewhat of a trend for the season. It Adds some flare compared to just wearing a wife beater.
  • The Dark blue denim  I’m wearing are my favorite, they’re comfy and fit just right. I rolled them up just alittle to keep it cool.
  • The Tan Brogues, most comfy tie up’s ever. They have a mesh cutout on the sides. They actually look quite cute.

Hope You Like this one. Love and Peace Everyone… 🙂

#OOTD : Sept 15th :)

We love alittle black and white , especially me. It’s basically an obsession.
It’s always fun putting some heels on and prancing around like a fairy. I’d love nothing more in fact.

Monochrome Chiffon Shirt – I got this from Woolworths, I always put a camisole under just so I don’t let anything out.
Basic white suit Pants – from Zara – definitely an investment item to have.
Pointed cut out Heels – From a South African brand Legit – these pointed cut out heels are super cute. They make some great clothing items as well .They’re my favorite pair so far.

Review: Harevst Grill & Wine

Situated at Carnival City Casino on the east rand, this upmarket grill house boasts an inviting ambiance with welcoming staff.
With the interior being borderline rustic and contemporary, where Warm inviting woods and bold reds were used to make this grill house somewhat different.

You probably want to know if this very modern grill house has more to offer than just an exciting interior??
Well Yes they do.

The food was definitely something to write about, the menu varied from Vegetarian, salads, seafood, your expected grills and sweet endings. They offer wine options with most meals, red or white, dry or semi-sweet. The portions are just right. More than enough to fill you up. And tasty too.

image2Brace Yourself. This might make you hungry. Some of the meals we were lucky enough to try.

1) Lamb shank with Pilaf Rice.

2) Grilled lamb Chops with a side of Baked Potato, topped with fried onion rings.

3) Prawn and Chicken Curry, with a side of Pilaf Rice.

From what I’ve seen most people seem to like them too.
To those on the East Rand – You should definitely check this restaurant. You won’t regret it.
If you’ve been there already, let me know what you think of it.

Don’t forget to follow me on the gram and Twitter. 🙂

“A woman who cuts her hair, is about to change her life.” – Coco Chanel

This past Sunday – I made the bold and ballsy decision to chop my hair off.
With it being heavy and very time consuming to maintain I decided to cut
most of it. It’s much lighter, and way easier to take care of. I’ve had
reservations of making it this short but ‘go big or go home right ?’.. As
you know Blonde is not my natural colour and its safe to say that my hair
was not in the greatest of conditions. So It was a much needed hair cut at
the least. Even if I don’t adapt to my new hair cut , atleast my hair grows
quickly.

imageI know most of you are reading this post with the idea ‘Ugh, she cut her
hair, whats the big deal …’ To be brutally honest My hair has been my
shield for the past few years, It hid the pain and sadness and all the bad
stuff people had said. It hid my flaws. It hid all that which I didn’t
want people to see.
Although these were ultimately the things that made me who I am today. I
wanted to keep it to myself. I wanted it to be private. And now, I couldn’t
care less what it is that people see in me. I don’t care if they see me for
the imperfect 20 year old I am. It’s okay. There comes a time in Everyone’s
life when you realise that it’s okay to be YOU. It’s okay to have flaws.
It’s all okay.
I have accepted myself for who I really am, And as soon as you start doing
that, everyone around will do the same (don’t get me wrong , you probably
don’t need anyone’s approval). – It’s just nice to be accepted some times.

It was high time that I made some changes in my life. And I’d say I’m off
to a good start.
If you’re somewhat like me and making big plans, good luck , be you and do
it with a smile.
Have a blessed week everyone.

#OOTD – September 1st

Even though we don’t really experience four distinct seasons here in South Africa. Spring usually starts towards the end of August and ends mid October. So I thought I would take full advantage of the month September and decided to be somewhat ‘springy’.

Most of those that know me would know that White is go to color for spring and summer. You could say it’s my favorite. I’m the type to push the boundary and wear white in winter.

image

I had expected the 1st of September to be rather warm and sunny, it was very much the opposite of my expectations. So I’d decided against my usual all white spring day attire.

White Pants are from Zara – the sister had actually chose this one for me. (My investment Trousers)

Rust orange Shirt is from Oakridge – Mr Price (Semi- Casual with chiffon inset on the shoulders)

And the tan loafers are from Edgar’s. (Inexpensive and comfy)

I know it’s the already the 2nd. But hope you like it.

Love and peace! Happy spring everyone!
