I trust all of you reading this are fabulous! I know I’ve been scarce but I’m still around right.
This OOTD was a special one. Its the outfit I wore to Real Promotions Annual National Conference, where I was actually presented with an award for Rising Star! It was most definitely a blast.
So you guys know I have this obsession with River Island! This gorgeous simple yet elegant Off the shoulder dress was super comfortable yet stylish! And It was Black – so thats a bonus. I adore this dress!
I accesorised with a Rose Gold Choker and stud Earrings all from River Island As well. And the stunning brushed Rose Gold Block Heels are from YDE. They were super comfy!
I also used a Coral Clutch which was a gift from my best friend which is from ALDO – I used this just for a touch of colour.
If you’re like me and you’re wearing lipstick all week. You’re lips tend to get dry and chapped. No one likes chapped lips! I’ve created a scrub of my own to prevent this. Lip scrubs are great to remove the dead skin from your lips. Also keeps it soft and smooth!
Rose water Lippie scrub Recipe:
1 teaspoon of Rose Water
1 tablespoon of Cane Sugar
1 and a half tablespoons of Coconut Oil
All you have to do is mix together until combined. After mixing store in a cool dry place.
On application, use a pea sized amount. Rub in circular motion. Wipe off with a cotton ball and warm water. This scrub can be used daily before applying lipstick. I do this scrub daily, but depending on skin type – use when suitable for you!
Today marks one year since I have started my blog, I was able to explore many new avenues and I was able to express my self through this very blog ! Thank you all! I appreciate all the feedback and love I’ve received ! God bless you all! Stay tuned, I’ve got a whole lot more in store! 😘😘😘
Guess who’s back, back again?! Bini’s back! 😂😝 I hope everyone is fab. I hope it hasn’t been as rocky for you as it has been for me. It’s July. A new month, this means new attitude and new outlook.
I loved my outfit today, thought I would share. Although I adore an all black outfit. You can always add a pop of color to your outfits. I went with something very simple but cute.
This yellow knit is from H&M South Africa , the suede black flat pumps as well. I paired it with a brushed black jegging, it’s got a little zip detail on the bottoms – this one is from Woolworths SA. I was super comfy in this outfit, who doesn’t want to be comfy on a cold day.
So, I think it’s safe to say I have officially become a binge blogger. In the next couple of days you all would understand why.
About 2 weeks ago , I visited KrispyKreme , they’re based at the The Zone, in Rosebank. P.S – at 20 something it’s okay to want to eat doughnuts. I got to see the famous Krispy Kreme glaze Curtain and of course The doughnuts were yummy. Definitely makes you feel like a kid again! I will see you soon Krispy Kreme SA (on my cheat days of course!😏). My fav was the Oreo Cookies and Kreme. 🍩Check out their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/krispykremesouthafrica/
If you’re trying to be healthy and you’re looking for something on the lighter side! Try Kauai’s Mexi Bowl. It’s got free range chicken, jalapeños, raw corn, sriracha, quinoa, tortilla chips, tomato salsa and avo. It’s yum and very filling. You could get the same thing in a wrap. Get the coco Mango to go with it and you’re sorted.
And then, in Northmead – Benoni. OnSixth is the name of the restaurant. The food is quite good. They have light and heavy meals to choose from. So this would be a good place to eat at during the day and in the evenings. And they also have a cute setup.
That’s all for now. Remember I am human so feel free to follow me Twitter and Instagram. Also check out my Facebook Page. You can find all the links in my contact page. Blessed weekend to all. I’ll be back soon. 🤗
We’re nearing the end of my 4 Part Summer Essentials Series.
My hair is bleached and sometimes taking care of it becomes unbearable , it’s imperative that you find hair care products that work for you. And that are actually good for your hair. Healthy hair is good looking hair.
So I use Davines, there’s 3 products I currently have, 2 of which are shampoo’s and the other a conditioner.
The MINU Shampoo, is an illuminating protective shampoo for colored hair. It smells lovely and leaves your hair feeling soft unlike other ordinary shampoo’s.
And then I have the NATURAL TECH NOURISHING SHAMPOO, this one is for dehydrated scalp and dry and brittle hair. I love this one because my hair tends to feel brittle now and then. I alternate between the 2 different shampoo’s.
Then this fab conditioner , it’s an ALCHEMIC CONDITIONER, for natural and colored hair. It’s purple in color, smells great, leaves your hair shining. I’d say this is more like a hair mask. But either way it’s works wonders.
All the products mentioned above have been bought at a hair salon, (Carlton Hair). It’s possible that other salons stock Davines products as well.
I’ve decided to do a 4 Part Series of all my Summer Essentials. These are mainly things I Cannot live without during the summer. Also mostly things I’ve recently discovered. Some are great buys and great for you.
This very 1st part is about ‘STAYING HYDRATED‘.
I know from experience that during the summer , all I ever want is something cold and sweet, from Soda’s and Cider’s , to Ice cream and everything except something healthy.
But , I found these tasty cold pressed Juices from Woolworths. They are also a 100% Fruit & Vegetable juice Blend. They come in the cutest 250 ml bottles. And they don’t taste all that bad.
I’ve tried two great flavours!
The Apple, Beetroot, orange and cucumber. – Apple adds sweetness and cucumber makes it a very cooling juice. Loved it!
The Carrot, Apple & Orange, With a shot of Ginger. The shot of Ginger wasn’t too strong. Orange enhances the freshness of this juice.
Both of these great flavors are best served chilled. (The Beetroot one is my fave though.)
I know Sir Juice makes great Fresh Juices, They’re 100% fruit Juice and Fruit Pulp! The Pineapple was definitely my favorite. Who said healthy didn’t taste good.
My next one is WATER! Drink lots of it. It’s recommended that you drink 8 Glasses each day. Also a good way to stay away from fizzy drinks. What I’d recommend is buying a pretty bottle which you could carry with you to work each day, and just fill up every time. Also mix it up alil, try some fruit infused water’s , Use strawberries and watermelon if you want something alil sweet. Or Cucumber, Mint and Lemon for a refreshing taste.
This water carafe and glass set is from @Home – It was a low R149.00 – And I absolutely love mine! I use Still mineral water, and some fresh lemon slices. Works wonders. Especially if you’re trying to detox.
Hope you all liked the post. Have a safe weekend, hope to post quite soon. Please don’t forget to give me any feedback you have.
So of late I’ve been eating really clean, trying to stay healthy can be a challenge sometimes.
It’s hard especially because Fast food has become acceptable. But It’s unhealthy and damaging to your health. Not many of us realize that.
Kauaiis AMAZING, the smoothie’s are crazy nice. They’re are like heaven.
My favorite has to be the ‘Coco Mango‘
It has Mango, pineapple, honey, low gi frozen yogurt, coconut water, coconut milk & mint. – Its the best. I fall in love every single time I order one.
I also had the Citrus Sriracha Salad. Tasty and yummy!
It’s got house greens, free range roast chicken , cucumber, mint, carrots, spring onion, lentils, rosa tomatoes and dressed with a cucumber & mint dressing!
They’ve got loads of other delicious items on their menu – http://www.kauai.co.za
Their Rosebank Store, is amazing. Interior is simple yet eclectic. Be sure to check it out.
Ok – so here goes. My first real post on my New Bog.
But first let me fill you in on who Binita is.
I am a 20 year old female, born April 30th in 95′. I am a born and bred South African living in Johannesburg.
My life may not be all that special to some of you. But it’s special to me.
I have a 9-5 Day job as an I.T Grad, ‘Specialist’ is what I’d like to call myself.
My interests vary from fashion, Photography, Charity events to eating and sleeping…
I have high hopes and unrealistic dreams like many others out there.
I’d like to be a millionaire by 25, who know’s maybe I will get there. Sooner or maybe later.
I’m not sure if it’s unlikely for a 20 year to be undecided about their career path. But I am.
I guess It’s just that I’d to make all my dreams come true. I feel like one shouldn’t be put in a box.
One day I really and truly want to be a photographer, one day its public relations, one day its I.T. I have my days.
Enough about me.
Let me fill you in on my most recent doings.
I am a lover of shoes. I have many pairs, and it’s very likely that I’d post my purchases.
So The Nike Roshe Run 1 – beautiful shoes.
Not only are they comfy and light, they look stunning. I bought an all white pair. This is my second pair of Roshe’s.
They definately look great on.
I recently discovered a online sneaker store. Based in Cape Town. Shelflife.
They offer free shipping and are quite reasonable with their prices.
Web Address : http://www.shelflife.co.za
Picture to follow.
Also I have been on my weight loss journey for quite some time, I have been trying all sorts of extreme diets.
I am only seeing some sort of progress now that I have started Banting.
Not sure if you all know this one – It’s called BANTING. Part of the ‘REAL MEAL REVOLUTION’ – it’s an intense diet.
The diet is high in fat but includes very few carbohydrates. Its made of lists – Green, Orange and Red.
These indicate what you can eat (green), what is ok but contains carbs (orange) and what you should definitely not eat (red).
It takes some time and all depends on the individual. I will definitely post pictures once I see significant results. http://www.realmealrevolution.com – If you’re interested.
Also another thing regarding this that I would like to stress. Society shouldn’t pressure women into being skinny.
All that matters is that you are comfortable in your body. Every individual is beautiful.
Tips on Healthy Eating. Just some tips I have made use of.
Eats lots of green leafy Vegetables, vegetables and fruit are great for energy especially on a low sugar diet.
Drink lots of Water (+- 2 Litres per day) – This helps to flush out all toxins from your body.
I drink up to 3 cups of Green Tea a Day. No sugar, No Honey, No sweeteners. Yes. Its bitter – But you’ll get use to it.
The latest trend that actually works – Detox Water – You can flavour them with fruit of your choice. Ofcourse they all serve different purposes. I mainly use Mint, Lemon, Cucumbers and Blueberry’s (when in season) also strawberry’s work great.
Cut down on Carbs , If possible – cut down on Carbs completely.
